What is this course about?

The aim of this training course is:

To develop the competence of participants to provide long-acting injectable cabotegravir as per the current National Implementation Guidelines for Long-Acting Injectable Cabotegravir (CAB-LA)​. ​

What is covered?

At the end of the training, participants will have the knowledge and competence to:​ 

• Support and counsel clients to make an informed choice for an HIV prevention option ​
• Assess, counsel, initiate and manage clients on CAB-LA​
• Educate and support clients on effective use of CAB-LA ​
• Use the CAB-LA implementation guidelines and job aids​
• Report  clinical information utilising the requisite reporting tools

All health care staff (clinicians, counsellors, health promotion, peer educators, community health workers and data capturers)
